The City of New Orleans today announced that Department of Public Works (DPW) construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will temporarily close the intersection of Tulane Avenue and S. Gayoso Street to through traffic beginning Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 a.m. and ending Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 13, weather permitting, City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Command Construction Industries, LLC, will continue with subsurface utility work that will temporarily close the right-hand lane of the 6300 block of Elysian Fields Avenue to vehicular traffic to accommodate construction on the Milneburg Group A construction project.

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works’ contractor, Roubion Construction, LLC, in conjunction with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, is performing an emergency waterline repair tie-in at 6400 Louisville Street, between Bragg Street and Lane Street. A waterline joint separated causing a large leak. Roubion will continue to work and install a temporary 22" water line tie-in this evening in order to restore water to affected homes and businesses.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, the intersection of Lowerline Street and St. Charles Avenue will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic to complete a sewer line repair as a part of Audubon Group B infrastructure improvement project. Public safety is our priority; signage will be in place around the affected area.
