One Stop Enforcement & Adjudication

What

One Stop Shop Enforcement and Adjudication seeks to obtain compliance with the codes and ordinances of One Stop Agencies through the City's administrative adjudication process.

Owners with outstanding violations are scheduled for a hearing before a hearing officer.  Hearing officers are empowered to levy fines of up to $500.00 a day.  Please note that fines can be levied daily until violations are corrected. 

Why

You have been cited for a violation of either the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance or the Municipal Code of Ordinances.

Where 

Due to the logistical and public health challenges presented by COVID-19 new procedures have been implemented for our administrative hearings. Defendants and representatives will be allowed to attend hearings either in office or by remote access via teleconference or videoconference. Members of the public will also be able to attend the hearings virtually via teleconference or videoconference.

One Stop adjudication hearings are held  at 1340 Poydras Street Suite 1100. Property owners should come prepared with all applicable documentation. Suggested documents include:

  • Dated clear and complete photographs of the property.
  • Recent contracts and/or bids for repairs and/or abatement of the violations.
  • Proof of financing for repairs and/or abatement of violations.
  • Ownership documentation. 
  • Any and all additional documentation relevant to the listed violations.

How to Pay Fines

Provide documentation that verifies all violations have been abated and that that the property is now in compliance. Include case number and/or address with all payments.

Cashier’s checks and money orders must be payable to the City of New Orleans and submitted to:
