Parks and Greenspace Filming Permit

A permit is required to rent the City greenspaces for filming events in the City of New Orleans. You will also need a filming permit from Film New Orleans.

Jackson Square $1,500 $2,500 $5,000
Armstrong Park $1,500 $2,500 $5,000
Lafayette Square $1,500 $2,500 $5,000
All Other Parks $1,250 $2,000 $4,000
Neutral Grounds $850 $1,000 $2,000

Prep/wrap rates are $2,000 per day for any park and $750 per day for any neutral ground.
Usage fees are non-refundable. Deposit may be required depending on the nature of use.

Required steps

Create a reservation for the space by:

  • Calling the department (504) 658-3201 or by email ParksandParkways@nola.gov to ask if the date is available for filming
  • Once confirmation of date availability is confirmed, requestors can file a filming request form by emailing ParksandParkways@nola.gov

Insurance:

  • Liability Insurance Certificate with City of New Orleans as holder of the certificate is required for all events
  • Contracts are required for all events and must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to date of rental
