Home » All City Services » Permits & Licenses » Application Standards » Standards for Complete Permit Applications
All permit applications submitted on the One Stop App must have all required documents completed at the time of submittal for the permit application to be accepted for approval review except for commercial project bid proposals. If the application is missing any information or required documentation the application will be rejected and informed to resubmit with required documents.
A permit application will not be considered "complete" by the Department of Safety and Permits unless such application is submitted with all information and documentation required for review. The Department appreciates the uniqueness of every project submitted to us for review and permitting; however, the standards below are included to provide guidance on the type(s) of information the Department needs to conduct a complete review of a permit application. Due to the unique nature of some jobs some projects may require additional documents not mentioned below but the applicant will be informed if they fall into this category.

Under no circumstance shall application for or issuance of a demolition, interior demolition, or exploratory demolition permit constitute a "completed application" for the purpose of development which will occupy a building or property following such activity.
Applications to a separate agency or department do not constitute a "complete application" or the issuance of a Building Permit for the Department of Safety and Permits for the purpose of development which will occupy a building or property after approval by that agency or department.
