NEW ORLEANS — Today, the City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation announced that the second debris removal pass from Hurricane Ida is nearly complete. As of this morning, 72 of the total 73 zones are complete, with the remainder expected to be cleared by the end of the day.
Beginning on Friday, Dec. 10, Ceres Environmental will begin the City's third and final debris removal pass, which is anticipated to be completed by Dec. 23. The Third and Final Debris Removal Pass will be focused solely on missed storm debris collection, which residents can report via 311 through close of business on Friday, Dec. 17. Requests can also be submitted online (https://nola311.org/service-request/) or via phone by dialing 311.
To date, Ceres Environmental has removed 277,076 cubic yards of debris and 16,610 hazardous trees and limbs.
