NORD to Host Annual Halloween Celebration for Youth and Families

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) Commission invites residents to celebrate Halloween at three drive-thru events across the city on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021. Each event will feature spooky and whimsical decorations, goodies from community partners, and trick-or-treat candy for the youth. Costumes and vehicle decorations are encouraged. In addition, all NORD recreation centers will pass out trick-or-treat candy to neighborhood youth. All activities are free to the public and will take place from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. 

 

NORD Halloween Drive-Thru locations: 

  • Cut Off Park – 6600 Belgrade St. on the Westbank 
  • Joe W. Brown Park – 5601 Read Blvd. in New Orleans East 
  • Lafitte Greenway – 2200 Lafitte Ave. 2.6-mile linear park located in the heart of New Orleans
