April 16, 2024 | From City of New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS — Starting Wednesday, April 17 at approximately 9 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will close the eastbound left lane along the stretch of I-610 between Henry Thomas Drive and St. Bernard Avenue (see map). This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs by DPW contractor All Star Electric.
Public safety is top priority. Throughout the closure period, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., appropriate signage will be deployed to safely guide motorists through the affected area.
This closure marks another step in the ongoing collaborative effort between DPW and LaDOTD to systematically address streetlight repairs. By working together, both the City and State are dedicated to the successful implementation of these crucial improvements.
