March 10, 2025 | From City of New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans Department of Safety and Permits today announced the first open house and information session of the year. Members of the public are invited and encouraged to sign up for one of 50 spots available. The information session is scheduled on Mar. 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Department of Safety and Permits office, located at 1340 Poydras Street in suite 800.
The Department of Safety and Permits will conduct a speed information session including different divisions within the department. This will allow staff to give a short overview, followed by question-and-answer segments relative to each division. Due to time constraints, no individual cases will be discussed.
This is the first of several open house events that the Department of Safety and Permits will host that will include one per quarter. The upcoming information sessions are a part of an ongoing effort by the department's leadership to be transparent regarding occurring changes, and to continue the City's mission to focus on the safety of its citizens.
The size of the sessions is designed to allow time to share information with attendees. Participants are urged to secure their spots early by submitting a RSVP email to dsprsvp@nola.gov by the Mar. 20 deadline.
