NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Bureau of Treasury today announced its annual tax sale, set for Sept. 17–19. Only taxpayers with delinquent property taxes from 2021, 2022, or 2023 are eligible. Payments should be submitted to the Bureau of Treasury to avoid the tax sale.

This change is due to the scheduled public hearing that was held by the Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) on Jan. 18 to determine whether to roll their millage rates forward.

The City of New Orleans today announced that the deadline has been extended for taxpayers to submit property tax payments. Property tax bills have been mailed and are available online at www.nola.gov/treasury. Taxpayers have until Feb. 15, 2023 to submit payments before interest accrues at a one percent monthly rate.
