New Orleans Recreation Development Commission, Office of Workforce Development and Mayor’s Office of Youth and Families Announces Details of Youth Summer Programs

This week, the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission, in partnership with the City of New Orleans Office of Workforce Development and Mayor’s Office of Youth and Families announced the upcoming youth summer programming. Opportunities will be available in all five City Council Districts through NORD and JOB1 NOLA Youth Works. In total, the City has committed more than $2 million to youth summer programming this year.

Office of Workforce Development Announces ARPA-Funded Leonard Merriman III Youth Pilot Scholarship Applications Open April 17

The Office of Workforce Development has partnered with the Tuskegee Airmen Flight School to offer scholarships to 20 high school seniors from Orleans Parish. The New Orleans Flight School is an aviation training program sponsored by the Tuskegee Airmen that promotes career opportunities for underrepresented youth in Orleans Parish.
