The City of New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP) is urging residents to prepare for extremely cold weather, expected to begin overnight Sunday, Jan. 19, and continue through Wednesday, Jan. 22. Hard freeze conditions are possible, along with Cold Weather Advisories or Extreme Cold Warnings.

Our YouthWorks program is designed to help young adult career-seekers remove the obstacles to employment through a variety of services, including (but not limited to) career advising, mentoring, and leadership development. Eligible young adults identify with one or more of the following:
If you or someone you care about need assistance with their education and career goals, JOB1 YouthWorks might be right for you.
Each year JOB1 YouthWorks serves hundreds of youth throughout the City of New Orleans. Youth from diverse backgrounds come to the JOB1 YouthWorks Career Center to find jobs, explore careers, pursue education goals, develop their leadership skills, and receive comprehensive guidance and counseling.
The JOB1 YouthWorks Career Center helps youth by connecting them to services mandated by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
