Neighborhood Cares Initiative: Eastshore Community Day

The Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO) will host its second Neighborhood Cares Day of the year on Saturday, May 24, in the Eastshore neighborhood. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at Eastshore Playgroundlocated at 14600 Curran Blvd.

Community members are invited to enjoy free food, snowballs, music, blood pressure screenings, free vaccinations (while supplies last), and free groceries while engaging with city departments and local organizations at the resource fair. Volunteers will also participate in litter and debris removal, as well as park improvement projects in the area.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell and NEO are proud to partner with District E Councilmember Oliver Thomas, NORDC, Starbucks, Walgreens, Lamar Advertising, Manning Family Children's, FMS Catering, The Verdict Lounge & Restaurant, Pee Wee’s Crabcakes, Giving Hope NOLA, and CRC We Care! We Share!
