The Office of Youth and Families is proud to partner with the National Parent Leadership Institute (NPLI) to bring the Parent Leadership Training Institute to the City of New Orleans. NPLI is a parent-centered organization that partners with parents and communities to equip families with the civic skills, knowledge, and opportunities to be leading advocates for children at home, school, and in the community

The Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) is free and meets over the course of 20 weeks. Parents and caregivers from diverse backgrounds join PLTI to learn and grow together in service of their children and community. Meals and childcare are provided when the class meets in person. Meal stipends are offered when the class meets virtually. The classes are conducted in English with interpretation for English and Spanish speakers.
