Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO)
Project Based Vouchers (PBV) may be awarded to developers of newly constructed, rehabilitated, or existing units through a competitive solicitation process administered by the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO). The PBV Program stimulates economic development activity as it relates to affordable housing by providing a long-term contract through which 70% of rental payments are subsidized by HANO on behalf of low-income assisted households. Serving as a regular source of income, developers/owners can use the PBV contract to strengthen pro forma financial statements, reducing risk associated with their projects.
