The Real Estate & Records Division buys, sells, and leases all city-owned immovable property, inside and outside city limits. This section also maintains some historical records on parcels located in the City of New Orleans. Citizens can research property records during assigned times. The Real Estate and Records Division also provides vital information to government agencies, the City, the State, and the Federal. Copies are provided for a modest fee.

These are the documents needed in real estate agreements with the City of New Orleans. Please return these if advised by your real estate specialist.
RER also acts as a historic repository for certain real estate records within the City’s geographical location. The Real Estate and Records Division also provides vital information to government agencies, the City, State, and Federal.
