Meet Pastor JB Watkins!  Not only does Pastor Watkins lead the St. Roch Community Church, he also now serves as the president of the Faubourg St. Roch Improvement Association.  He sat down with Neighborhood Engagement to answer just a few questions.

Join us in welcoming the newest two neighborhood liaisons to the Neighborhood Engagement Office. 

The Tricentennial Neighborhood Grants, funded by the 2018 NOLA Foundation, will allow New Orleanians an opportunity to further own the city’s future by distributing 73 grants of $1,000 each to support events or projects that uplift New Orleans neighborhoods. The project or celebration must take place within Orleans Parish.  The deadline is extended to Wednesday, January 24th 2018 at 5:00pm.

Project parameters

The awarded grant is to be used for one or more of the following:

·         A neighborhood celebration of the Tricentennial

·         A collaborative neighborhood beautification or quality of life project commemorating the Tricentennial

·         A capacity building project for youth (17 years of age and under)

·         A Tricentennial outreach project for the organization

Applicant eligibility

Applicant must meet each of the following criteria:

·         Be a member of any formal or informal neighborhood/community association

·         Resident of Orleans Parish

·         18 years of age or older

·         501(c)3  designation (for formal associations) or Federal tax ID number (for informal association)
