FILMORE NORTH GROUP A PROJECT AT NEARLY THIRTY PERCENT COMPLETE

Command Construction Industries, LLC continues to finish waterline work across the project. Once tie-ins are complete, asphalt crews will mobilize. All catch basins in driveways will be converted to rollovers.

RELOCATION OF SUBSURFACE UTILITY LINES FOR CANAL BOULEVARD FULL DEPTH RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CONTINUES

The $4.5M Canal Boulevard Full Depth Reconstruction Project, designed by Integrated Logistical Support, Inc. and awarded to Palmisano Construction, has been delayed due to continued work by Entergy to complete underground utility line relocations. Upon completion, Palmisano crews will commence road reconstruction activities in late July / early August.

CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSING ON PONTILLY STORMWATER PROJECT

The $15M Pontilly Neighborhood Stormwater Network project includes an array of storm water interventions such as bioswales and street basins, all designed to reduce flood risks.  The project is nearly 10 percent complete.

Smart and Sustainable Cities Committee Hosts Panel on Wind Power in the Gulf of Mexico

NEW ORLEANS - Today, the City Council's Smart and Sustainable Cities Committee received presentations on the potential for wind energy in the Gulf of Mexico, including a focus on the brand new Gulf of Mexico Wind Feasibility and Economic study produced by the Federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). Federal scientists from BOEM presented the study's findings and explained how they pertain to the future of energy production in New Orleans and across the Gulf South.

City to Conduct Mosquito Abatement on Thursday Night

NEW ORLEANS  — The City of New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board (NOMTRCB) will conduct larval mosquito abatement in the area surrounded by Bellaire Drive, I-610, Wisner Boulevard, and Robert E. Lee Boulevard. The application will be conducted by truck from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., weather permitting.
