NEW ORLEANS - District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer, along with several organizations in Algiers, hosted a fundraiser in February to raise money for six new patrol bicycles for the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Fourth District. The Krewe De Bleu Bike event helped bring in a total of $6,500 for the Fourth District which patrols all of Algiers.
The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating the pictured subject after he allegedly raped a woman in the Eighth District.

At the regular City Council meeting on Thursday, March 14, Council President Jason Williams will propose a resolution calling for immediate adoption of an updated and comprehensive Complete Streets Policy, increased enforcement and educational efforts for those sharing the roadways, and designation of sections of streets for a weekly car-free day. Resolution No. R-19-95 also calls for improvements to the most dangerous New Orleans intersections, and traffic infrastructure updates citywide.

NOPD officers have arrested Garrett Skinner (DOB: 07/16/1984) after he was found in illegal possession of a firearm while in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.
The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating the pictured subject after her alleged involvement in an aggravated battery incident that occurred in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.
NOPD officers are searching for five subjects who are wanted for their alleged involvement in an aggravated battery by cutting and simple battery incident that occurred in the 5800 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Ian N. Petty (DOB: 02-14-1984) in connection with a home invasion and domestic abuse battery incident that occurred on March 1, 2019 in the 2800 block of South Liberty Street.
