UPDATE: This vehicle has been recovered. However, investigation into the auto theft incident remains active and ongoing. NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is looking for a suspect believed to have been in illegal possession of stolen property taken on different occasions between November 8th and 16, 2019.

NEW ORLEANS — The Juvenile Justice Intervention Center (JJIC), in partnership with the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights, Ubuntu Village, and SHARP, hosted the annual Thanksgiving event for youth and families. Several participants enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal, live music, and presentations from several young people.
NEW ORLEANS — Mayor LaToya Cantrell congratulated the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) on its being awarded a $7,246,315 Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant to fund 19 new 35-foot biodiesel buses.
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans announces it has been awarded an $80,000 grant by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), a portion of the state’s Volkswagen (VW) Settlement funding, to install five City-owned electric vehicle charging stations available for public use.
NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD arrested Dominick Blackman (pictured, DOB: 03/05/1984) in the Seventh District after he was found to be in illegal possession of a stolen gun and drugs during a traffic stop.
