The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission has announced a temporary pause to the Teen Fall Internship Program due to citywide budget constraints. The program, which has been running for the past two weeks, will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 25, with the pause taking effect Monday, Oct. 27.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, the City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works’ contractor, Renegade Construction, LLC., will temporarily close the intersection of Lowerline St. and Birch St. approximately two days, through October 29, to accommodate roadway restoration as a part of the East Carrollton B&C construction project. Public safety is our top priority; signage and traffic control measures such as barrels and fencing will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) announces that starting the week of Monday, Oct. 27 at 7 a.m., there will be intermittent closures to through traffic on lanes of 4700 block of Alcee Fortier and 14000 block of Peltier. These closures are expected to last for approximately three weeks.
Concrete panel replacement will impact both blocks and at their intersection.
