Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of New Orleans will consider at its regular meeting of January 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., in the Council Chamber, City Hall, the adoption of Ordinance Calendar No. 34,971 introduced at the meeting of January 9, 2025.
SAID ORDINANCE would change the zoning districts of the properties that are the subject of Master Plan Future Land Use Map amendment application numbers PD13-02 through PD13-14, to R-RE Rural Real Estate District or S-RS Suburban Single-Family Residential District, if not so currently zoned; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

The City of New Orleans today announced the second phase of street closures in advance of Super Bowl LIX. Effective Monday, Jan. 13 at 6 a.m. to Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6 a.m., the streets listed on the attached map will be closed as the City prepares to host the Super Bowl. Additional road closures will be phased in and announced as they are implemented.
No walk-ins will be accepted on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
The City of New Orleans today announce the extension of Christmas tree collections. Residents are encouraged to call 3-1-1 to request a Christmas tree pickup through Friday, Jan. 17 if their tree was not collected this week. Requests can also be made by visiting https://nola311.org/.

The City of New Orleans today announced the extension of the activated Citywide Freeze Plan (CFP), which went into effect Monday, Jan. 6. It has been extended through overnight Friday, Jan. 10, in anticipation of additional cold weather.

The City of New Orleans Department of Property Management announced beginning Wednesday, Jan. 8, the Perdido Street main entrance of City Hall will be intermittently inaccessible for the next three weeks as the installation of the new City Hall sign is in progress. While the project is underway, pedestrian access to sidewalks alongside the building will be restricted. Residents can still enter and exit the building near the LaSalle Street side of City Hall. Interruptions in the area will last through the project’s completion date of January 24. The sign was designed and is being installed by Signworx, LLC.
