The City of New Orleans reminds all landlords of one-to-three unit properties operating in Orleans Parish to apply for the Healthy Homes Certificate of Compliance on Jan. 1, 2025. Certification is a requirement of the Healthy Homes Ordinance.
The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission is pleased to announce that Kid Café, a free after-school meal program for youth ages 18 and under, is now underway. In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, No Kid Hungry, and Share Our Strength, the program ensures that low-income children at afterschool program sites across New Orleans have access to nutritious meals during the school year.

On November 18, 2024, the NOPD’s Violent Warrant Offender Squad and the U.S. Marshals located and arrested a 15-year-old juvenile black male suspect in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on October 7, 2024, in the 5100 block of Bundy Road.
On November 18, 2024, the NOPD arrested a 13-year-old juvenile black male in the investigation of threats made toward a local school.
New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with identifying a suspect wanted for residential burglary.
The NOPD has arrested a person of interest in connection with the shooting of 10 people in the 1800 block of Almonaster Avenue Sunday afternoon (November 17, 2024). The unidentified person is charged with unrelated crimes at this time as the ongoing investigation continues.
