Please note, due to the anticipated extreme weather tomorrow, the utility assistance events will now take place Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12.
The City of New Orleans today announced that in anticipation of severe weather impacting New Orleans and the surrounding areas, City Hall and other City buildings will be closed to the public on Wednesday, April 10. City services will remain open virtually. City Hall will resume normal operations on Thursday, April 11, unless otherwise indicated.
Update, please note the I-610 closure scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, April 10 has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 2p.m. due to anticipated inclement weather.
The April 10 meeting of the Design Advisory Committee is cancelled due to the closure of City Hall. It will be rescheduled and the new meeting date will be posted once it is determined.
The April 9, 2024 meeting of the CPC Zoning and Land Use Committee is cancelled due to a lack of quorum. It will be rescheduled in the near future and an announcment will be posted with the new meting date.

NEW ORLEANS — On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 (H.R. 1319) into law. The $1.9 trillion package is designed to directly combat the COVID 19- pandemic and its impacts to states and municipalities. The City of New Orleans received $388 million in ARPA funds and as of February 2024, $245 million has been spent and another $48.5 million has been obligated, representing 76 percent of the City’s total appropriation.
