New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with identifying and locating a suspect and vehicle wanted for hit and run driving.
The following is a weekly report of citywide crime statistics compiled by the NOPD Analytics Unit for the period of June 29-July 5, 2025. Please note that these statistical figures are preliminary and subject to further analysis and revision.

The City of New Orleans today announced upcoming lane closures as part of the Crescent City Connection Decorative Lighting Project. These closures will allow the contractor, Frischhertz Electric, to perform essential maintenance work, approved by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD).
Mayor LaToya Cantrell today issued the following statement on the veto of Ordinance Calendar Number 35,135:
“This ordinance represents yet another attempt to override executive authority and redirect critical resources away from essential projects that directly impact the daily lives of New Orleanians,” said Mayor LaToya Cantrell. “Our residents deserve transparency, legal compliance, and equity in the use of public funds.”
