On Monday, April 10, 2023, at 3:06 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) received a 911 call reporting a building fire at 2402 St. Ann Street (Willie Mae’s Restaurant). Dispatched at 3:06 a.m., the first NOFD unit arrived at 3:13a.m., to find a one-story wood framed building with smoke and flames showing at the back of the building.

On Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1:13 p.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to a 911 call reporting a fire at 2710 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (MLK). Dispatched at 1:13 p.m., the first NOFD company arrived at 1:17 p.m. to find a one-story, wood-framed double heavily involved in flames, and extending to neighboring properties and immediately struck a second alarm.
