Preparing your Facility for Emergencies

We experience many types of emergencies in New Orleans that may impact the ability of businesses to offer services and residents to access those services. Therefore, it is important that your facility shares your emergency plans with your staff and the clients who use them. 

The New Orleans Health Department supports healthcare facilities and facilities defined under local ordinances to create and exercise their Emergency Operations Plans with the City of New Orleans.

  • Home Rule Charter of the City of New Orleans, Chapter 30: Businesses, Article XIII - Nursing Homes, Sec. 30-1088 - Facilities required to coordinate with the City for emergency planning
  • Nursing Home Administrators: please submit required City of New Orleans licensing information through the One Stop App by Friday, April 28, 2023.
